What does Unathi Studios do?
We are a design-led app studio based in London. We design and build mobile apps for iOS and Android, web apps, and the product design that sits behind them. We ship our own products and take on client projects selectively, so each one gets the studio’s full attention.
Do you only work on wellness apps?
No. SelfMeditate, the studio product currently on the App Store, happens to be in meditation and journaling, but the studio works across categories: consumer apps, tools for work, marketplaces, media, education and more. What carries over is the standard — research first, design leading, and no dark patterns.
What kind of clients do you work with?
Founders and product teams who want a product designed and built by the same people, and established organisations that need a considered app or web app rather than a fast template. We are a good fit if you value restraint over feature count.
Do you both design and build?
Yes. The people who design the product also build it, so nothing is lost in a handover. If you already have engineers, we can deliver product and interface design alone, with a design system your team can carry forward.
How does a project usually run?
Four phases: Understand (research, goals, constraints), Shape (flows, interface, prototype), Build (engineering, QA, store or web launch) and Settle (measure, refine, hand over). Most projects run between eight weeks and several months depending on scope.
